With a blessing from the God of Jammy Sods in the Men's Foil, our own Jean from Wimbledon made it to 17th place out of 58, Nick from Streatham made it to 23rd place and our own Alwyn made it to 42nd place. Man of the day from Wimbledon was young Tom who finished in 8th place.

However the Streatham Man of the Day has to be Andrew who was seeded 46th place after the foil poules but managed to knock out the 19th seed with some spot-on fencing to finally make 31st place. Andrew's performance today also earned him the prize of a bottle of plonk, though though we are not sure if that was for being the best, youngest or newest old geezer.

As for our friends at other clubs, Doctor Jo made it to 6th place out of 27, and congratulations to Steven from Guildford for winning the Men's Sabre.

Many thanks to Hampshire Fencing Union for hosting an enjoyable event.
